We are rocked by the dreadful news of the abduction of the very young and beautiful Madeleine McCann. Madeleine was nearly four when she went missing from her family's holiday apartment in Praia da Luz on May 3, 2007.
This hits me particularly hard as a mother. I'm devastated on behalf of her parents. Madeleine bears a very strong resemblance to my own daughter when she was the same age. And also upsetting because we holidayed in Praia de Luz shortly before we moved here when Rhiannon was the same age as Madeleine when she was taken. Scary.
I hope this terrible case is resolved very soon. I never stop thinking about the poor girl.
