It's amazing how something so mundane can become exciting and adventurous!
Some friends took us to an international supermarket called Nissin where we are assured we will be able to get all kinds of necessary groceries. Hooray!!
However, this involved numerous and complex changes on the Metro and a lot of walking. Not very practical.
The first floor is a general supermarket, and the top floor is just full to the brim with alcohol: I have never seen so many bottles of booze in one place - not even at the parties I used to attend in my 'youth'!
We managed to buy some recognisable items, including some small joints of meat and cereals, so we are now set for the next week or so. I have to pretend to mum that we eat properly, of course!
But the struggle to carry all the shopping bags home was totally exhausting, so I can't see us doing that very often. We literally walked miles.
